Toyota Yaris 2004

The owner of this ultra reliable little Toyota runaround just wanted their headlights looking like new again. They had seen me working on a neighbours car so decided to have the Marked Improvement treatment on their own.

Great result on this very popular little city car.

Volvo XC70 2006

“I can do that with toothpaste!” If I had a pound for every time I heard this comment I’d be a rich man.

There are many ways in which you can, to some degree, make a difference to the state of your headlights. High end compound, wipes or ‘magic’ cleaning agents to name a few. This owner spent some considerable time scrubbing the headlights with toothpaste, in the hope it would pass it’s MOT.

Needless to say, it failed. The garage had a go at them with G3 Compound, but to no avail. They still failed on their beam pattern. I was then called upon to see what difference I could make and I think you’ll agree a Marked Improvement. Passing the MOT with no issues and no need to be replaced.

VW Golf GT 2005

In my humble opinion the Mk5 VW Golf is a future classic. Especially a lovely example like the one I recently had the pleasure of working on. Not a GTI but the often forgotten and much overlooked GT!

The owners were warned by their local garage that it would fail the MOT due to poor beam pattern. A common problem with the VW Golf of this era. Thinking they had no choice but to replace the headlights at the cost of hundreds of pounds, the garage owners recommended my services to them. They felt they had nothing to lose, so gave me a call.

I am pleased to report, the owners were over the moon with the results, stating it had brought the front of their car back to life. Needless to say I had also saved them a great deal of money in the process.

Unfortunately due to technical issues I do not have any before photos but I can assure you they were in a very sorry (MOT failing!) state prior to me tackling them.

VW Passat

The owner of this vehicle always looked after it to the best of his abilities. He had already carried out work on the headlights looking to improve them by using a well known branded DIY kit.

Although happy with his efforts, he came across my services and asked if I could improve them any further. Yes, was the answer and he was very happy with the outcome.

What a beautiful Mercedes CLK

The owner of this CLK decided to use a DIY method to rework his headlights a couple of years ago after around 8 years of ownership.

They passed the next MOT that came around but unfortunately failed this years MOT on poor beam projection! He was given my details by someone working on the car resolving another issue and I finally got around to restoring them today. They look wonderful, taken 10 years off this fine ole CLK I reckon!

“Wow unbelievable results, my cloudy mot failing 14 year old headlights have been brought back to better than new condition for a fraction of the cost of a new pair (which would be way over£1200!) Mark does all this by hand no power tools. Highly recommended.”
